Hi Melanie – there was some polling done earlier in the year that showed 94% of the public had never heard of the Community Trigger and just 2% of people felt like they fully understood their rights on community safety. It’s a big national issue where the trigger has never been promoted properly. The Victims Commissioner and the Home Office are both campaigning on improving communications around the Community Trigger and there will be some guidance on the Home Office website.
