Topic: Tenant involvement and engagement

This session will focus on the importance of engaging with tenants meaningfully in shaping services. Tenant involvement and effective communication is more important than ever in light of new tenant satisfaction measures being implemented from April.

Effective engagement and communication with tenants is already high on the agenda of many landlords. Now new regulation is just round the corner. From April landlords will be expected to measure tenants’ satisfaction with services.

Three of the 22 tenant satisfaction measures from the Regulator of Social Housing focus on respectful and helpful engagement. Questions tenants will be surveyed on will include whether they are satisfied that their landlord listens to their views and acts on them.

This latest best practice group will focus on tenant involvement in shaping services and preparing for the tenant satisfaction measures. The session will give members the opportunity to discuss challenges and share best practice in a confidential setting.

The Housing Management Network is pleased to announce its latest best practice group.

This session will be facilitated by Bobbie Hough, and take place via zoom.

If you’re new to the network or haven’t attended a best practice group before, this is what your housing colleagues are saying about them:

“Every meeting that I’ve attended has given me a new idea to take away or helped me understand how I could improve my service”

“The best practice groups have been really useful. They offer reassurance on our processes, new ideas and a chance to meet new and familiar colleagues working in housing”

“A safety net to ensure nothing is forgotten or overlooked. So many things change in legislation or best practice it’s good to hear what others are doing to challenge your own thought process”.

“The best practice groups are fantastic. I’ve been inspired by many of the shared ideas, information and knowledge that colleagues bring”

Best practice groups are a great way of engaging with your network/hub members.

We look forward to seeing you there!
