A member would be interested to know if their home ownership summary documents are certified by an external accountant?

They have been told this is a requirement for every scheme with four or more home owners due to Section 21. At the moment they only do this where the lease states it would be required.

We have had three helpful responses in our Leasehold Network WhatsApp group as below:

• We have all our service charge accounts signed off by an Accountant but we use in-house (Section 151 Officer)
• We do. It goes to external auditors and they produce a summary on factual findings
• We also do it only where the lease requires, which it doesn’t for our standard RTB leases.
