    Role Title: New Leaf Community Engagement & Administrator
    Salary: £ 8,342.40 (£10 per hour), 16 hours per week
    Fixed Term: 1st July 2022 until 31st December 2022

    New Leaf is a Building Better Opportunities project funded by the by European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund. It is an innovative project, targeting individuals furthest away from the labour market in the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) area, to help them in their journey towards employment.

    Led by Warrington-based Torus Foundation, working in partnership with other organisations across the area, New Leaf will support approximately 6,000 individuals, providing a tailored service, giving individual support and direction.

    Weaver Vale Housing Trust, a local landlord based in Cheshire and surrounding areas, providing over 6,000 homes in Northwich, Winsford, Frodsham, Helsby and outlying rural areas. We are excited to be a delivery partner within the New Leaf project working across the Cheshire West & Chester area.

    This role is a stepping-stone to future employment. We are looking for someone who is currently not in employment; it is a short-term role that is designed to help the right person develop their skills and self-confidence to move on to bigger and better things!

    In this varied Community Engagement & Administrator role, you will be active in your local community, passionate about supporting people; a real ‘people person’ who can engage with residents. Working alongside Professional Mentors, you will have an empathetic approach, personal understanding of barriers residents face and can provide non-judgemental advice and ‘energise’ them, giving confidence to access the programme.

    Your role will enable you to gain experience working within communities, alongside the current Energiser promoting the project an d signing up individuals to take part. The other part of your role will be to support the project Co-Ordinator, gaining experience, skills and knowledge undertaking various administrative duties that are required for smooth running of the project and to meet compliance.

    You will work independently across Winsford, Northwich sometimes as far as Chester in a range of partner and community venues. Some of your work will involve working at home or our office base in Gadbrook, Northwich. You will be talking to potential participants face to face and mostly on the phone. But will also be using emails, text as well as Teams or similar. Whatever works for the participant.

    You may also be helping the Mentors to support participants to get to appointments or assist with the delivery of training sessions.
