    The Neighbourhood Services & Community Safety Team are recruiting to two new posts, the successful applicants will be responsible for engaging with external partners and residents across Winchester housing estates.

    Constantly striving to improve and enhance our Neighbourhood engagement across the district you will be a key member of the team, helping to empower local communities to ‘have their say’ about issues that impact on their quality of life i.e. ASB, Fear of Crime, Environmental Issues, Estate Improvements.
    Important functions of the role include; identifying opportunities for engagement, supporting community development and empowering local communities to ‘get involved’. Working with elected members, residents and partner organisations you will provide a visible presence to our tenants and leaseholders, whilst supporting the delivery of estate services. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in this unique area of local gove rnment.

    A proven background of working in Communications, Community Development, Community Engagement or Housing is essential. Dynamic and adept at building relationships you will also have a common sense approach to problem solving.

    A genuine passion for improving neighbourhoods and a good understanding of the relevant legislation and practices around neighbourhood management will also be highly valued.

    You will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB), Police Vetting check via the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) and hold a full driving license.
