    Job Title: Lettings Assistant (Permanent)

    Hours: Monday to Friday (37 hours)
    Salary: £24,412 – £26,761 per annum

    Location: Based at Gadbrook Park, Northwich.

    Flexibility to work from a variety of places including our office at Gadbrook Park, Northwich and home (dependent on the job role and the needs of our customer, our organisation and our teams)

    The Opportunity

    Weaver Vale Housing Trust has an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to work for a great company and make a difference to the lives of others.  We are looking for a driven, diligent, and friendly Lettings Assistant to join our Lettings Team.

    What Will You Do?

    The Trust is looking for a self-motivated, proactive Lettings Assistant to join our Lettings Team. The team manages the allocation of all our vacant properties for rent, delivering a seamless, co-ordinated approach to the letting of Trust properties.

     

      • To support the delivery of a customer focused Lettings service, ensuring empty properties are re-let quickly and in accordance with relevant legislation, regulation, policy, and procedure.
      • Be the first point of contact for applicant, WVHT customers or partner agency enquiries via phone, email, or face to face. Responding in line with WVHTs Customer Care standards and managing customer expectations effectively.
      • Ensure internal and external IT systems are accurately updated to reflect any changes to the customers housing status, this includes activating new tenancies and ending tenancies accurately on the Trusts’ Housing Management System.
      • Lead on and manage the tenancy termination process, liaising with customers leaving the Trust, and identify any issues which may impact upon the successful termination of the property e.g., property is left in an acceptable condition and keys returned to the Trust on time.
      • Support the advertising of Trust properties, using a commercial approach and platforms where appropriate e.g., Rightmove, to maximise marketing opportunities and keep void rent loss to a minimum.
      • Maximise the use of technology e.g., Adobe Sign, to streamline the digital services we offer to our customers.
      • Provide administration of the Homeswapper scheme for Trust customers wishing to use this platform.
      • Actively support the achievement of corporate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Strategic Achievement Measures (SAM’s).

     

    Requirements For This Role*

      • 3 GCSE’s, Grade GCSE 4-9 / A* – C (Math’s and English) / equivalent level of qualification(s) or experience of working in a Social Housing Allocations Team.
      • Experience of working with a wide range of customers and stakeholders.

     

    Additionally, due to the flexible working arrangements with this role, you will need access to a room where you can work from, and a suitable internet connection.
