About the role:The role of Income Manager will be to provide an effective arrears management service and financial wellbeing services to our customers and act as a Lead within income recovery. This role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated housing professional who aspires to manage a small-medium size team later this year.
Location:
Working across our Northampton and Covent Garden office, plus home working.
Key duties:
- Proactively managing our rent accounts and maximising the income for our housing schemes and properties.
- To manage people that go into arrears on their rent and helping prevent our customers from getting into difficulties by involving our financial wellbeing to maximise income and look at ways in which we can sustain and/or stabilise a tenancy
- Make decisions and take in accordance with action to recover arrears in accordance with current law.
- To implement and progress all Housing Management System recommendations for arrears recovery taking necessary actions as required.
- To liaise with and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external agencies and other service providers.
- To oversee the preparation and service of various legal notices and invoices for all debt types, implementing payment agreements and take appropriate action for collection and recovery.
- To collaborate with residents, other departments, and other agencies to develop initiatives to enhance the areas/estates managed by Sage Homes and improve customer satisfaction.
- To deliver an excellent customer service to our customers when addressing arrears and housing management queries.
- To monitor cases that have been referred to legal and attend Court on occasion to give evidence on behalf of Sage Housing.
- To investigate all reports in tenancy fraud.
About you:- Experience working in the Housing sector within arrears/income recovery management.
- Excellent knowledge of arrears management and legislation.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Housing qualification, CIH level or equivalent is desirable.
- Experience in managing, leading, and motivating a small/medium sized team is desirable, but not essential.
