    We are looking for an Income Management Specialist (1 post) to join our Income & Financial Inclusion team in Lancashire until September 2022.

    Reporting to the Income Management Team Leader, you will be responsible for management of rent accounts and income collection to reduce rent arrears, achieving agreed targets for revenue collection, embedding early intervention and the prevention of de bt escalation as well as preparing casework and representing the Organisation at court in legal proceedings.

    To be successful you will have experience of managing rent accounts, preferably in the social housing sector, with an awareness of Income Management Procedures and Law. Have good organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively, with colleagues at all levels and customers from a diverse background.

    You will have a good understanding of key housing legislation, best practice, as well as current welfare benefits and be familiar with County Court rules and procedures, relevant government legislation for dealing with debt and have experience of presenting cases in court.

    To enable us to capitalise on the benefits of more flexible ways of working, for our customers, colleagues and to support sustainability, we have developed Onward ‘Workspace’. this is our approach that focuses on work being the thing that we do that makes a difference to our customers, not the place we go. this role is home based and there is no requirement to attend the office daily, but you will be required to attend neighbourhoods and/ or sites, particularly within the Greater Manchester region, as required to fulfil duties of the role.
