    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head of Asset Data to drive our property related data team. In this critical, brand-new role, you will oversee the collection, organisation, analysis, and utilisation of asset data to optimise decision-making, resource allocation, and strategic planning. You will be collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate, up-to-date, and insightful asset information, contributing to the overall success of Longhurst Group’s property management and maintenance operations.

    As the Head of Asset Data, you will be leading our collaboration (with the wider business) to embed the systems and software needed to improve our customer services. It serves a fantastic opportunity to help grow our culture of continuous improvement for both data and your team, alongside owning the process of collecting, inputting, managing and reporting on our asset data.

    What you’ll be doing

      • Establishing a data-led culture which places focus on how data is collected, stored and analysed. Continually improving our data and ensuring it’s used to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
      • Be responsible for forecasting the investment required in our stock. Providing the cleansed data to prove stock lists and work requirements. This includes our annual, five yearly and 30 year plans.
      • Developing our stock condition surveying practices to provide sector-leading data collection including attribute(s) / element(s), Decent Homes, Housing Health & Safety Rating System and energy data.
      • Collaborating across the business to ensure we’re investing in the right stock at the right time.
      • Creating the capability for colleagues across the business to self-serve from our data.
      • Assisting the business to identify opportunities to embed Building Information Modelling.


    This is a full time, permanent role that is contracted to 36.25 hours per week. Working across our geography (Midlands and East of England) or attending meetings or training as required at one of our offices (Boston, Rushden, Walsall and Peterborough) you will support the team, our colleagues, and our customers. As a hybrid role you will also be able to perform some of the duties of this role from home.
