    Location: Eastleigh

    Closing date: 05/02/2023

Salary: up to £42,000 per annum (plus comprehensive benefits)

    Employment type: Permanent

    Hours Per Week: 37

    What you’ll do

We’re excited to be looking for a new Financial Accountant, working in the Financial Reporting Team.

We’re a social housing provider of significant scale, and our 35,000 homes need to be properly accounted for, which is where you come in!

You’ll be focussed on fixed assets, relating to both property and other assets owned by Abri, as well as accounting for capital grants. You will maintain the asset registers, performing regular monthly routines, including depreciation, property additions and disposals, as well as forecasting and budgeting. You’ll also be working with other teams in the business, being the first port of call for any queries they have relating to our fixed assets.

You’ll be an ambassador for Abri to internal and external customers alike so professionalism, politeness and a genuine desire to go above and beyond will all be musts.

You’ll be able to prioritise and organise a busy workload all with a can-do attitude as you’ll help with daily routine tasks as well as your core work.

We really want someone who’s proactive and happy to speak up with suggestions on how to make improvements to systems and processes.

What you can expect from us

It’s really important to us that you and your family are supported at work and at home so you’ll receive a competitive salary and additional reward package as standard from day one. Check out the document below that will give you a run down of all our fantastic benefits.

Want to achieve more? Great! We’ll work with you to help you reach your goals through personalised development plans and our in-house People Development team who’d love to help you reach your goals.

We get it, life can get in the way sometimes. So whether it’s a dentist appointment or your little one’s sports day, we’ll do all we can to give you flexibility in where and when you work.

    Be yourself

We’re all about inclusivity and we want each of our colleagues to feel free to speak up, be bold and to be their authentic selves. Here at Abri, we’re all different, we’re all unique and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

    About us

Hey, we’re Abri, a housing association based in the south of England. One of the largest in fact. We have 80,000 customers across 35,000 homes across the south, all supported by our 1,600 colleagues working out in our communities and behind the scenes. We’re a passionate bunch and think we can make a real difference. Homelessness, poverty, inequality, a lack of affordable housing. They’re all linked and we’ve all got our part to play in tacking them head-on. Homes are at the heart of everybody’s lives. And we exist to help make good homes, and good lives, a reality for everyone.

Come be part of something special.

    About you

We’re looking for someone with an eye for detail, highly organised and methodical, with enthusiasm and a desire to see positive change. Whether you’re a fully qualified accountant, part-qualified or QBE, if you think you can do a great job then we’d encourage you to apply.
