      Role Title: Employment Advisor
      Salary: £30,000 per annum (spot salary) plus car allowance
      Fixed Term: Until 30 June 2023
      37 hours per week (to be worked flexibly in line with business needs)
      Working across various locations within Cheshire but with some remote working

    Weaver Vale Housing Trust, is a local landlord based in Cheshire and surrounding areas, providing over 6,000 homes in Northwich, Winsford, Frodsham, Helsby, Warrington, Chester and outlying rural areas.

    As an Employment Advisor, you will work within a team that supports individuals to recognise their skills and potential, offering information, advice and guidance making local opportunities more accessible. You will have an awareness and strive to achieve individual and contribute to team targets. You will work one to one with a caseload of Weaver Vale Trust customers offering bespoke support that will help them identify and overcome barriers to work. You will focus on enhancing the opportunities and self-confidence of customers, supporting them to access a range of support services.

    You will have the ability to build strong links with support agencies/network’s, therefore knowledge of local services is essential. This is a demanding but rewarding role which will seek to provide individuals with the self-confidence, knowledge, and skills to enhance their future employment opportunities, which will include providing assistance with job searches, applications, CV’s and interview techniques.

    We are looking for a real ‘people’ person with a desire to ‘make a difference’. You will be an inspirational and self-motivated individual with enthusiasm and positivity.

    You will demonstrate excellent time management skills and be a team player as close liaison with other staff is essential to the success of the programme. You will provide ongoing encouragement and be proactive in your approach. You will have the skills, knowledge, and ability to discuss and identify the barriers preventing participants accessing support services, understanding the current job search mechanisms, and progressing into training and/or employment.

    The postholder will possess excellent IT skills, be flexible in approach, able to use your initiative. A willingness to travel across the Cheshire West area & very occasionally parts of Warrington & Cheshire East is essential (the majority of the delivery is in Winsford and Northwich)
