    Job Title: Contract Surveyor (Permanent)
    Hours: 37 hours per week (to be worked flexibly in line with business needs) + Supervisor Callout rota
    Salary: £39,194.00 per annum, (Plus Regular Car User Mileage Allowance – £79.09 per month)

    Location: Based at Gadbrook Park, Northwich. Working across various locations within Cheshire.

    Flexibility to work from a variety of places including our office at Gadbrook Park, Northwich and home (dependent on the job role and the needs of our customer, our organisation and our teams)

    The Opportunity

    This is an exciting opportunity to join an existing, pro-active surveying team delivering an essential role to ensure the effective management and upkeep of our housing stock. You will provide a surveying function covering day-to-day repairs inspections, diagnosing defects, damp surveys, disrepair, stock condition surveys, fire door inspections, adaptation works, asset validation inspections and specifying material and resource requirements and where required specialist sub-contractors.

    What Will You Do?

    • Carry out specialist damp, disrepair, and insurance related surveys
    • Support the inspection programme of stock condition surveys across the Trusts stock base and help with validation of external surveys
    • Carry out pre programme and cyclical surveys for delivery programme works including compliance related activity

    Candidates will need to work closely with a variety of teams across the Trust, especially with operational team leaders and managers, and must support the Senior Surveyor in continually meeting targets and deadlines. The surveying team is continually looking to improve, and all candidates will need to demonstrate a pro-active approach to support this aim.

    Requirements For This Role*

    •           Relevant trade/surveying qualification or equivalent level of qualification

    •           HNC in building services or construction (or equivalent)

    •           Willingness to undertake further qualifications

    •           Proven experience of surveying role in either public or private sector

    •           Specific experience surveying damp and H&S related property conditions

    •           Experience of surveying and investigating disrepair claims

    Due to the nature of the role, a full current driving license and access to a car is essential.  The role will also require the successful candidate to undergo a DBS check.
