    We are looking for an Building Safety Manager (2 posts) to join our Landlord Compliance Team working at specific sites in Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

    An exciting opportunity to join Onward in two new posts to ensure we comply with all current regulations with regards to building safety, that will promote and communicate building safety throughout Onward and with our customers of high ris k residential buildings.

    With safety and security being our priority for our customers, this role has been developed to ensure they lead on the requirements of the Building Safety Bill and Fire Safety Act 2021. This includes ensuring health and safety compliance including all document management being valid and evidenced including maintaining the Building Safety Case and ensuring the conditions in the Building Registration Certificate are complied with to the satisfaction of the Accountable person and the Building Safety Regulator.

    You will develop and maintain a management system for contractor access control, ensuring that all work carried out is in accordance with contract conditions, service level agreements (SLA’s), quality assessment programmes, due diligent processes and health and safety practices.

    It is essential that you are able to demonstrate extensive experience of relevant building management experience in commercial buildings and/or compl ex residential properties, with knowledge and experience in the operation of relevant statutory regulations, including health and safety matters including CDM, compliance, fire and structural safety. You should demonstrate a methodical approach to work, with sound organisational skills, within a team environment but also an ability to work on your own. You should have experience of working in a customer-focused environment providing colleagues, visitors and customers with an excellent service. Quality communication skills will complement your project management skills to assist in planned/reactive works to the premises.

    It is essential you hold a professional qualification in a property/building related specialism but equally are prepared to undertake further qualifications including the CIOB Building Safety Management training when released and be able capable of holding fire safety (licensed building) certificates going forward.
