• Job description

    The role of an ASB Case Worker is to:

    • Investigate all complaints of ASB and take action to deal with anti-social behaviour by enforcement or intervention action where appropriate.
    • Support victims and perpetrators and take enforcement action or intervention, working with other agencies and partners as appropriate.
    • Act as a lead officer for the management of on-going and complex ASB casework.
    • Regularly attend case review and liaison meetings with the Thanet Community Safety Team.
    • Ensure all cases referred for legal action are evidently sound for use in court and reflect current case law to ensure value for money of legal costs. Ensure that evidential
      bundles are produced in an accurate, organised and timely way to support court action.

    • Work closely with the Housing Officers and Housing Response Officers by providing advice and support in relation to ASB and contributing to the development of Neighbourhood Action Plans.
    • Collaborate and work closely with partners to maximise resources and deliver shared outcomes.
    • Take responsibility for ensuring that young and vulnerable people are appropriately safeguarded.
    • Undertake vulnerability assessments for victims and perpetrators of ASB, ensure that any vulnerable people identified have access to appropriate support.
