Wellbeing at work is becoming increasingly more important. Encouraging ‘wellbeing at work’ positively impacts on employee’s engagement and performance at work and in their personal lives.

This course gives delegates with the opportunity to practice essential skills and interventions to manage their wellbeing. Understanding and learning effective coping mechanisms can benefit wellbeing and promote guided self-help.

This is a practical session with interactive tasks. The aim is to feel motivated, grounded and enabled to be productive at home and at work by managing your own mental health and emotional wellbeing.

The course focuses on a positive growth mind set using a variety of methods including talk therapy, practical exercises and exploratory work sheets. It will enable delegates to be self-aware and take a practical solution focused approach to their wellbeing across a range of daily roles and challenges.

  • Our trainer

    Tahira Hussain (MBPsS), has extensive experience working in the statutory and voluntary sector. She had a 22-year career in social work, mental health, community development and housing. Having worked in the social housing sector as part of an equality and diversity unit, Tahira has a successful track record in consultancy, training and project management. She is a graduate member of British Psychological Society (BPS) and the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). She has worked as a mental health professional practitioner for a number of NHS Trusts nationally and is a private therapist providing assessment and treatment services to individuals, legal firms, schools and corporations. She is a qualified trainer on safeguarding, professional boundaries, equalities, stress management and personal development. As a freelance consultant her clients include local authorities, the education, health and housing sector nationwide.
