Whilst we might understand what’s required of us to ensure that we’re processing personal data safely and securely, the practical aspects of the regulation may cause some confusion.

Have you ever noticed that another organisation’s privacy notices are vastly different to your own? Perhaps you’ve wondered whether or not your personal data breach process is up to scratch.

This session will provide an overview of the key components of the UK GDPR as well as a practical guide to processing and documenting data protection impact assessments, policies, privacy notices, data breaches, retention schedules and other operational aspects of the regulation. We’ll consider best practice and look at some recommended templates as well as selected examples of data security incidents and the most effective ways to deal with them.
