Led by experts at NICEIC, this practical workshop will guide you through the entire process of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) from commissioning them, choosing a contractor, checking the installation and more.

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a comprehensive inspection of the electrical installations within the property.

Under proposals set out by government, it is expected that EICRs will become mandatory for all social housing properties to bring them in line with the private rented sector. While already considered sector best practice to have them in place, this mandatory requirement will create additional costs for landlords, as well as increase their administrative workloads.

So, how do you select a contractor to carry out this inspection and testing? What will this entail? How long will it take? And what realistically should it cost?

And what do you do when you receive an EICR? How can you tell if the observations on the condition of the installation and the overall outcome stated in the report are accurate?

Inevitably, in some cases, an installation will be deemed to be unsatisfactory for continued use without some remedial works being carried out. Who should you engage to carry out this work and how can you demonstrate the installation is in a satisfactory condition thereafter?

Find out the answers to all of these questions and more at our upcoming workshop.
