What will be covered:
Understanding the office/operation context – what areas do we need to look at?
How do we measure our impact? – scope reporting and key areas, ESG targets
What does good look like? – ESG, accreditations and strategy
Office solutions – energy usage and generation, IT, waste and water
Operational solutions – fleet electrical vehicles, responsibly-sourced materials, green procurement practices
Transport solutions – electrical vehicles/infrastructure, green vehicle usage
Long-term considerations – agile working, office need, infrastructure

This is your chance to find out more about what ‘s going on in the world of new development. The event will be chaired by Jon Daley, Asset Sustainability Manager at Wirral-based, 13,000-home HA Magenta Living.
Magenta Living are taking active steps to decarbonise their offices and are currently one of seven HAs currently to have obtained SHIFT gold around these key areas. They are also ISO14001 accredited for environmental practices, are a founding partner in the Good Economy ESG framework and actively monitor all associated areas, including electric/energy usage, water, recycling/waste and pollution.
On top of this you’ll be joined by peers to find out what others are doing; be given the chance to have honest and open discussions about the world of office/operation decarbonisation; as well as given the opportunity to share best practice and ideas with a group of likeminded professionals.

Our facilitator
Jon Daley is an Asset Sustainability and Data Manager for Magenta Living; a Housing Association with 13,000 homes across Wirral. A self-confessed “nerd of all things green”, Jon is interested in decarbonization as a culture, retrofit strategy, the home of 2050, office decarbonization and ecology. Jon has been seminal in delivering on Magenta’s decarbonization strategy inclusive of all of the above. Along the way he has helped the organization achieve Top 20 UK Sustainable Housing Provider Status, being only 1 of 7 national associations to achieve the illustrious SHIFT Gold award for sustainability actions and led on Magenta’s element of the Liverpool City Region’s Social Housing Decarbonization Fund (£11.1million) to retrofit 1,250 homes region wide amongst other things.
