Trauma is everyone’s business. Living through traumatic events is a common experience across our lifespan and that of the people we work for and with. Trauma has a range of possible impacts on our physical and mental health as well as social outcomes.

We are offering a kick start introduction to working with those who have experienced trauma to enable a greater “trauma informed” service, workplace, and workforce. This will enable the workforce to better meet the needs of others living with the effects of trauma.

The workshop will give insight into how trauma affects us both mind and body and give some practical tools to use to address its imprint.  Participants will get useful background, steps to start to use, with practical and real support technique sharing that takes the theory and puts it into practice.

You will get to ask your questions and get the answers.

    Who should attend?

Anyone who works with individuals who may suffer from trauma: social workers, foster carers, mental health workers, alcohol and drug services, housing, homelessness, refugee workers, community service staff.  This could mean staff from reception, service delivery, voluntary support workers, through to governance, board or anyone who is part of providing a trauma informed service.
