Resident-led scrutiny is no longer optional – it’s essential under the new consumer standards. But what does meaningful scrutiny look like in action – and how do you get it right? Join Fleur Priest-Stephens from the Regulator of Social Housing and Jane Eyles, HQN Associate to find out.

The Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard states that ‘ Registered providers must give tenants a wide range of meaningful opportunities to influence and scrutinise their landlord’s strategies, policies and services.’  The RSH will test this during their inspection and ask for evidence to provide assurance that you are assisting tenants to led activities and providing accessible support that meet the diverse needs of tenants so they can engage with those opportunities.

Join us to discover why effective, resident-led scrutiny is a game changer for social housing providers. You’ll hear directly from the Regulator and leading scrutiny experts about what works, what doesn’t, and how to make scrutiny a powerful force for improvement.

In this energising and informative session, you’ll:

    • Get the latest insights from Fleur Priest-Stephens, Head of Tenant Engagement at the Regulator of Social Housing, on what the RSH expects and what they’ve learned from their first year of inspections
    • Dive into the principles of great scrutiny with Jane Eyles, HQN associate and author of the HQN Scrutiny Toolkit. Jane will draw on her wealth of experience to guide you through:
    • What scrutiny really is – and why it matters
    • Making the business case for resident involvement
    • Securing buy-in across your organisation
    • The must-haves for making scrutiny effective.

You will also learn from real-life examples of scrutiny in action – hear directly from both residents and landlords about how they’re making it work and the impact it’s having.

Plus – delegates will take away a copy of HQN’s Scrutiny Toolkit, packed with tools and templates to kick-start or supercharge your scrutiny activities.
