The Competency and Conduct Standard will introduce a broad outcome-based standard for all staff in the Social Housing Sector and require senior staff to have, or be working towards, housing management qualifications. Its aim is to ensure all social housing staff have the skills, knowledge, experience, and behaviours they need to deliver good quality, professional services to tenants. The standard comes into force in April 2025. All housing providers need to understand the implications of the standard and start planning and preparing for it now. There is a lot to be done and not much time.

Delegates will go away with all they need to know to draw up and put into action their plans.

This interactive session will focus on the practicalities:

    • What the new standard currently covers (and how it could change)
    • Mandatory qualification – who, what and when?
    • Expected time frames including the transition period
    • What the standard will mean in practice
    • What should a code of conduct cover?
    • What the regulator might expect
    • How to gear up to implementation.

    Who should attend?

Essential for everyone responsible for drawing up the action plan and implementing the requirements in the new standard including:

    • HR
    • Learning and development
    • Organisational development
    • Senior housing managers
    • Senior housing executives
    • Strategic service providers.
