Are you still doing equality impact assessments? If not, why not?

This briefing aims to revisit equality impact assessments (EqIAs) and their role as valuable and practical risk assessment tools when producing and implementing housing strategies. It sets out the current government guidance and provides advice on how to ensure that decisions made by housing providers do not discriminate against people on the grounds of the protected characteristics.

We also include an analysis of some recent EqIAs by housing providers and which contributed to the EqIA toolkit, produced by the same authors, which complements this briefing and gives practical guidance on carrying out an EqIA.
