Our mission stays the same – to unpack what high-level policy and regulatory changes actually mean for staff on the ground, share best practice and innovative approaches and give you the tools you need to deliver services for residents in the most effective and efficient way possible.

So, we’re announcing improvements to four of our networks over the coming months that provide more content and better value for our members.

AI Hub (launch – 1 June 2026)

AI is here and it’s here to stay. Housing professionals across the sector are using it every day to tackle issues from the minute to the massive.

To help professionals navigate the complex, the confusing and the curious options available, HQN is launching an AI Hub, free to members of the Housing Quality Network.

The hub kicks off with a series of podcasts throughout June 2026 unpicking how AI is already being used to tackle capacity challenges and skills gaps, what good leadership in AI looks like and what the future holds for a sector embracing AI to help deliver better, more efficient services for our residents.

Not content with just sharing existing good practice, HQN will be facilitating a rapid ‘test and learn’ process together with organisations across the country that will accelerate AI capability, refine best practice and provide staff with the tools and confidence they need to adopt AI into their daily lives.

Strategy and Leadership (relaunch – 1 July 2026)

In uncertain times, good leadership is more important than ever. Our Strategic Network has been providing high-level foresight for senior housing staff and we’re boosting our offer by adding a leadership focus to support senior decision makers in an ever-changing strategic landscape.

HQN will continue to provide expert analysis and insight on local authority responsibilities, such as the private rented sector, homelessness, supported housing and allocations, whilst bringing in additional content that supports leaders across the sector to guide their organisations effectively.

We’ll kick off our improved Strategy and Leadership offer with a series of podcasts featuring leaders across the housing spectrum throughout July, unpicking the role of modern leadership, current and future challenges and practical tips that existing and future leaders can apply to their roles immediately.

EDI (changes applicable September 2026)

We recognise that equality, diversity and inclusion impacts every facet of the sector, from recruitment, finance and policy through to repairs, estates and resident involvement. Because of this, we’re making our EDI offer free to all main network members so they can understand how EDI applies to their role and access a wealth of content to support more inclusive practice for colleagues and residents.

We’ll be exploring how organisations can tailor services to meet the diverse needs of their residents, unlock and utilise household data and support you to engage with people from all backgrounds.

People and Culture (changes applicable September 2026)

Traditional HR departments are evolving at a rapid rate – growing far beyond their original remit that the term itself is regarded by some as obsolete. Recognising this, at HQN we’re strengthening our current Leadership and Organisational Development offer into a full network called People and Culture. We’ll explore what growth in people departments means, how embedding culture change is increasingly part of the people remit and what best practice in organisational development looks like. We’ll also have exclusive tailored content around the rise in AI use and how to make the most of it.

People and Culture network members will also have exclusive access to HQN training and organisational development specialists three times a year to personally advise on your own learning and development plans.
