Are they hard to reach – or are you?

Communicating with younger residents and people from diverse backgrounds is often described as one of the sector’s biggest challenges. But what if the real issue is not that people are ‘hard to reach’ – but that organisations can be hard to understand, hard to connect with, or hard to trust?

In this final session of Comms Fest, Roshan will challenge you to rethink how you engage residents and communities. Drawing on her experience of building inclusive spaces and communities, Roshan will explore how communication can move beyond broadcasting messages to building trust, confidence and genuine relationships.

This session will look at inclusive language, empathy, confidence and connection – and what you can do to make engagement feel more human, relevant and meaningful.
