In 2026, communications teams are operating in a more complex risk environment – from heightened scrutiny and the Duty of Candour, to AI-driven misinformation and increasing polarisation.

In this session, crisis communications specialist Amanda Coleman will explore the key threats and shifting risks facing organisations, and what this means for reputation, trust and decision-making. You’ll look at how to understand risk from your audience’s perspective, communicate change clearly (without oversimplifying), and apply trauma-informed approaches that build psychological safety and trust.

The session will close with practical actions you can take now – from strengthening local connections to preparing for misinformation and exercising your plans.
