With the revised Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) introduced in June 2026 and the expansion of Awaab’s Law from November 2026, housing providers must ensure they can identify, assess and respond effectively to hazards in residents’ homes.

This practical, interactive course explores the revised HHSRS framework, including the reduction from 29 to 21 hazards and the new High, Medium and Low hazard bands.

It also examines the requirements of Awaab’s Law, including the additional hazards covered from 30 November 2026, helping delegates understand not only how to assess and score housing hazards but also how to take appropriate action and demonstrate compliance.

Through worked examples, case studies and practical exercises, delegates will develop their confidence in assessing housing risks, understanding their legal responsibilities and managing an effective landlord response, from the initial report of a hazard through to investigation, remedial action and record keeping.
