At the next Communications Hub networking group we’ll be discussing leadership messaging: the conversation before the communication with Lydia Stockdale from Good Point PR. Housing leaders are making difficult decisions all the time. They are dealing with change, financial pressure, regulation, scrutiny, resident expectations and competing demands.

    Lydia Stockdale, Communications and External Affairs Director, Eastlight Community Homes

    Lydia Stockdale is a writer, communications consultant and former senior communications leader in the housing sector. She began her career as an award-winning journalist and was Assistant Editor of Inside Housing, before moving into senior agency and in-house communications roles.

    She has spent more than 15 years working at the intersection of journalism, housing and communications, including as Director of Communications and External Affairs at Eastlight Community Homes. Through her consultancy, Good Point, she now works with CEOs and senior leaders to help them work out what they are trying to say, find the story and communicate it in a way that people can understand.

    Her work focuses particularly on leadership narrative, thought leadership and strategic communications in housing and purpose-driven organisations. She is a Chartered PR practitioner, an ILM-accredited coach and a member of the CIPR.
