    The housing sector faces several challenges related to payment services; tenants struggle with navigating clunky, outdated payment systems with limited channels; a lack of seamless integration between payment platforms and internal systems leading to a number of manual workarounds having to take place to reconcile payments; a reliance on transaction files to be able to update customer accounts meaning there is no real-time visibility of tenant transactions.

    The process of implementing a new payment provider can feel daunting, so the payments solution remains the same and doesn’t innovate and keep up with how tenants are making payments in other areas of their lives and the frustrations that colleagues feel when navigating manual processes continues.

    Ashleigh has been working in the payments industry for 18 months, specifically focused on developing the digital payments solution to be tailored to meet the needs of the housing sector.

    Rob Thompson, Head of Finance (Income), Thirteen Group

    Rob has vast experience working in the housing sector and is highly skilled in managing teams to improve performance, sustain tenancies and drive customer satisfaction across income collection, financial inclusion and service charges. Rob led on the project to implement PayPoint as the new payments provider and is highly motivated to improve service design within organisations and drive better outcomes for their customers.
