Researchers are seeking support for a new project examining housing professionals’ knowledge of dementia.

Led by Dr Aisling Flynn, a lecturer in occupational therapy at Bournemouth University, the study is aiming to address a significant gap in UK research regarding how housing professionals understand and respond to the needs of people living with dementia.

The team say they want to explore the challenges but also the great work that housing professionals are doing to support people living with dementia and hope housing professionals’ participation will:

  • Provide insights into current knowledge gaps
  • Contribute to improving housing services for people living with dementia
  • Help establish evidence-based training needs for the sector
  • Acknowledge that great work this is currently being done and area that need further attention.

The survey distribution will run between March and April 2025 and will take approximately 20-25 minutes to complete. All responses will be anonymous and confidential.
