The Value for Money Standard is one of the three economic standards that housing associations have to comply with. At a time when finances are tight and the need to invest in the existing stock to improve the quality of homes is increasing, it’s imperative that organisations are making the best use of the resources available.

The 2024 global accounts dataset is due to be published very soon and we will be able to look at the information alongside last year’s TSM results, providing new insight into what should be regards as value for money and how financial investment may or may not relate to improved tenant outcomes.

This masterclass session with Adele McNamara from the Regulator of Social Housing and our expert HQN Finance Network Associate, Ian Parker, will ensure that you know exactly what the RSH wants and how you can use their 2024 VfM and TSM datasets in order to deliver it.

     What will be covered:

    • What the RSH expect to see when reviewing the financial statements and also when conducting an IDA review
    • The overall trends from the sector and highlights of the national dataset
    • How you can use the VfM benchmarking tools/models to identify trends and compare your organisation’s VfM metrics as well as the TSMs scores to your peer group.

    Why you should attend:

    • Get up to date analysis from the RSH and ask the questions you need answers to
    • Learn about the key trends in the sector on VfM and if and how it impacts on TSM scores
    • Understand HQN’s new benchmarking tool/model with up-to-date VfM data and newly added TSM data this year.

    • CEOs
    • FDs
    • Senior financial managers.
