Here at Epping Forest District Council we have a great opportunity for the right person to take on a new role.  Our Resident Involvement Strategy and Delivery Plan needs an enthusiastic and energetic individual to make them real.  The role involves working closely with tenants and lessees to engage them in our decision making and performance review, as well as providing an avenue for them to feedback to the Council about our services.

The individual for this role will have experience in working with customers, ideally in social housing and in community or resident engagement.  Within a 36 hour week you will need to be flexible enough to support occasional evening meetings and possibly weekend events.

You will be working collaboratively across the Council to create opportunities for tenants’ and lessees’ views to influence, shape and continually improve the services we offer.  You will manage an inclusive range of resident engagement activities, supporting residents with diverse needs and enabling access for residents to get involved in their local area.  In addition to experience, we are looking for someone who has:

• Knowledge of Social Housing Regulatory requirements.
• Strong communications skills written and verbal across a range of
• Experience of effective relationship building.
• Experience of engaging a range of people, meeting their needs to improve access to involvement.
• Experience of effectively facilitating activities with large groups of people, adapting different approaches for different audiences.
