Collecting diversity data should do more than meet a requirement. When gathered and used well, it can lead to better decisions, stronger insight and more responsive services. This practical workshop helps delegates collect EDI data confidently and respectfully, understand what information is useful, and use it meaningfully to identify gaps, remove barriers and improve outcomes.

Drawing on practical experience from housing and service settings, this interactive session explores how to collect EDI information in a proportionate and purposeful way. Through trainer input, activities and case studies, delegates will look at what data is worth collecting, how to ask the right questions, and how to use the information gathered to improve services for tenants, residents and customers.

    What will delegates learn?

Delegates will gain greater confidence in collecting, interpreting and using EDI data in a way that is practical, respectful and effective. They will leave with a clearer understanding of how better data can support better services, stronger decision-making and more targeted action.

    This course will cover:

    • What tenant and customer profiling means in practice
    • Why organisations collect EDI data and how it can be used to improve services
    • Legal and data protection considerations without over-collection or unnecessary risk
    • What questions to ask and how terminology can affect response rates
    • Common barriers to data collection and how to address them
    • How to use EDI data to identify service gaps, barriers and improvement opportunities.

    Who should attend?

Anyone involved in collecting, recording, analysing or using tenant, resident or customer data.
