There are an estimated 4.3 million leasehold properties nationwide. 244,000 of them are held by social landlords. Social landlords are constantly adding to the numbers of leasehold properties owned so the numbers are increasing as are the complexities of the legal issues involved in managing them.

This makes it ever more important to understand the legal framework and what good leasehold management looks like.

That’s why HQN has teamed up with leasehold specialists at Birketts to bring you this workshop. Our legal experts will:

    • Explain the legal framework for good leasehold management
    • Take you through the ‘recovery checklist’ to ensure that money spent on repairs or providing services can be recovered through the service charge
    • Examine the Building Safety Act and the important changes introduced by that legislation that leasehold managers need to know about.

The workshop will conclude with a “dive” through some of the latest decisions from the Courts and Tribunals to enable delegates to apply the latest case law to their own work.

Essential for leasehold specialists, everyone responsible for managing or delivering services to leaseholders. Operational teams as well as legal and policy/strategy teams.
