We are looking for a Resident Engagement Officer to join our Resident Involvement Team as we continue to ensure our residents are at the heart of service and influence our housing service.

If you are passionate about delivering great customer service, engaging with people to improve services we want to hear from you. If you have experience of working within a customer-facing environment, this would be advantageous.

Required attributes are:

Knowledge

A sound understanding of the regulatory framework for social housing
● Awareness and working knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedure within the social housing sector;
● Practical working knowledge of IT systems including MS 365 Office and/or Google G Suite package;
● Good understanding of the latest digital communication technologies and social media and how this can be applied to the social housing sector;

Skills

● Anticipates customer needs, takes personal responsibility for sorting out problems and responds promptly;
● Organises work in a methodical way;
● Remains focused and productive under pressure, keeps difficulties in perspective and listens and records customer criticism without becoming defensive;
● Works well with a group of people, readily sharing information and contributing to team goals;
● Clear and succinct, and applies an appropriate style for target audience when writing, and presenting;
● Adapts to circumstances, people and situations, showing respect and demonstrating sensitivity;
● Actively embraces change;

Experience

● Direct experience of working in a pressurised customer focused environment;

Qualifications

● 4 GCSE’s at grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent, including Maths and English

Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check as part of their pre-employment checks.
