Stuart Andrew has been appointed as Housing Minister by Boris Johnson in the latest reshuffle.

It comes as Christopher Pincher looks to take a more senior role in the Prime Minister’s team. Pincher was in the role two years, the longest serving housing minister since Brandon Lewis in 2016.

Stuart Andrew, who was previously the deputy chief whip, is the Conservative MP for Pudsey, and has been an MP since 2010.

Andrew was one of 72 MPs who voted against homes being “fit for human habitation”, depsite himself being a landlord.

And as normal, his voting record shows that he followed the party line, voting in favour of Pay to Stay and also in favour of scrapping lifetime tenancies.

He also voted for the bedroom tax, against benefit payments being increased and against increased benefits for those who are disabled.
