HQN is delighted to announce the appointment of Chloe Fletcher as a new director.

A well-known and highly regarded figure in the social housing sector, Chloe joins from the National Federation of ALMOs, where she was policy director.

Commenting on her appointment, Chloe said: “I was incredibly privileged to have worked for the National Federation of ALMOs for 16 years, helping members share best practice, learn from each other and challenge themselves to be the best organisations they could be.

“I worked constructively with many governments and their civil servants over the years to try to improve the outcome of housing and welfare policy on the ground and I have valued the close working with tenants throughout that time with tenant board members helping to set the agenda and the tenant advisory board influencing debates and discussions within the movement.

“I am excited now to be joining HQN at this pivotal moment for the sector when we all need to be improving services to tenants as well as the quality of homes. I hope to bring my social housing knowledge and experience working for councils and ALMOs to provide both challenge and support to social landlords across the sector.

“We need all social landlords to work more closely with tenants and focus on improving basic housing management and maintenance so that we have a social housing sector we can all feel proud of.”

HQN chief executive Alistair McIntosh, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Chloe to HQN. She brings a deep understanding of how Westminster works from her previous roles with London Councils and the National Federation of ALMOs. That will make sure our members’ voices get listened to in a year of political upheaval.

“Chloe also has an acute awareness of what our members need to help them to deliver great services to residents in these difficult times. I have asked her to sharpen up our offer in the coming year. So, you will be hearing from her.

“Finally, Chloe is well respected by politicians of all sides, as well as DLUHC, the RSH and the Housing Ombudsman. That will help as we all pull together to deliver services to be proud of.”
