    Job Title: Rent Support Officer – Prevention (Permanent)

    Hours: 37 Hours per week (full time – to be worked flexibly in line with business needs)
    Salary: £27,508 – £30,125 – Grade F (Full Time Equivalent based on 37 hours) per annum, pro rata (Plus Casual User Mileage Allowance)


    Location: Based at Gadbrook Park, Northwich.

    Flexibility to work from a variety of places including our office at Gadbrook Park, Northwich and home (dependent on the job role and the needs of our customer, our organisation and our teams)

    The Opportunity

    This is an exciting opportunity to work in a rewarding and fast-paced environment. You will be working in a high performing team, making a positive impact to reduce arrears and help to sustain tenancies.

    You will manage lower-level arrears for our current tenants’ on a specific patch, and working closely with the Rent Support Officers (High Level), assisting in reducing arrears to protect the Trust’s Income. This role is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in Income Management and tenancy sustainment.

    What Will You Do?

      • To promote the Trust’s ‘Rent First’ message at all times
      • To focus on the prevention of debt and those customers whose arrears are below the level where legal recovery action would start
      • To take proactive, prompt and effective action in accordance with the Trust’s Corporate Debt Policy to maximise rental income, the main source of income for the Trust
      • To maximise the personal income for Customers of the trust through the completion of low level benefit applications and signposting to internal teams and external partners.
      • To achieve the agreed individual and team performance targets to meet the SAM’s in the Our Money strategy

    Minimum Requirements For This Role

      • Five GCSE’s grade 4-9 / A* – C (including Math’s and English) or equivalent level of qualification.
      • UK Driving Licence or ability to travel to appointments as necessary

    The role will also require the successful candidate to undergo a DBS check.
