    Living Well Coordinator (Staying Close) – Young People
    £32,930 p/annum
    35 hours p/week (Flexible Working) ¦ Fixed Term until 30/11/25
    Wythenshawe (M22)

    An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Living Well team as we are looking to recruit a new Coordinator to join the team on a fixed term basis.

    This role is working with young people to address their housing needs as well as supporting young people into further independence.

    The successful candidate will have solid experience in working with young people and experience of giving great benefits advice, dealing with low level Community Safety concerns and housing allocations. An up to date knowledge of current legislation in relation to all elements relating to housing is desirable.

    You will need to facilitate tenancy ready courses, effective preventative work and intervention as required as well.

    You will need to be able to build strong relationships not just with the young people but also with partner agencies that you will be working in collaboration with, further developing local protocols to support care leavers into accommodation.

    You will need to support young people to gain knowledge around tenancy management and their rights and responsibilities as a tenant by delivering housing related elements of courses to individual young people or in a group setting, such as the resettlement passport independence toolkit.

    In order to fulfil this role you will need the following key skills, knowledge & experience;

    Evidence of supporting care leavers / young people
    An understanding of the issues that relate to supporting care leavers with complex needs and evidence of delivering high quality intensive support interventions
    Demonstratable working knowledge of the welfare benefits system and the ability to give accurate and up to date advice in these areas
    An experience of delivering consistently excellent customer service in the field of support
    Experience of case work and taking appropriate action, willing to challenge and change to improve and innovate

    The ideal candidate will also already hold a housing related qualification.

    Due to the nature of the role you must be willing to undertake a full DBS check.
