    About the role

    We are looking for a Home Ownership Assistant – (1 post) to join our Home Ownership team. This vacancy has arisen following a recent internal progression opportunity.

    This role is a home based role, where there is no daily requirement to attend an office, but you will be required to attend a our Manchester office for team day one day per week usually a Tuesday.

    Reporting to the Home Ownership Manager, you will provide a professional, efficient, and high-quality service to leaseholders and third parties in relation to re-sales, staircasing and lease extensions, as well as tenants wishing to purchase their homes via Right to Buy/Acquire.

    You will respond to enquiries from customers and colleagues via multiple channels, maintaining accurate records and work collaboratively with colleagues from across the group. You will participate in team working by supporting colleagues in the delivery of services to customer and in the efficient and effective functioning of the team.

    You will handle enquiries from existing and potential customers in relation to the re-sale of leasehold properties, purchasing further equity in shared ownership properties and lease extensions. Liaise with solicitors, customers and estate agents and ensure accurate information is provided.

    What are we looking for?

    It is essential that you have excellent communication, organisation, prioritisation and numerical skills, as well as experience of communicating to a diverse customer base verbally and in writing. It is desirable that you have experience of processing Right to Buy/Acquire applications, knowledge of leasehold tenure or similar property tenure types and knowledge of relevant legislation and its regulation of the property sales sector.
