    What you’ll be doing

    We are looking for a Gas and Water Safety Auditor to support CHP’s Authorised Person in relation to gas and water hygiene safety and legionella safety. You will also maintain robust procedures that enable contractor and inhouse employees to deliver services relating to gas and water hygiene effectively and in compliance with landlord responsibilities and Regulations. You are expected to carry out the onsite auditing of all heating, predominantly gas (approximately 540 amount per year) and water hygiene related functions at CHP’s properties delivered through external contractors, developers and our in-house teams to ensure this complies with statutory obligations.

      • Undertake regular gas and water hygiene “work in progress” audits for CHP in-house teams, contractors and on new developments, and provide audit reports on findings together with any remedial actions required.
      • Carry out, or lead, full incident investigations and report findings on all gas and or water hygiene related accidents/incidents that may result in damage/injury, responding to relevant complaints received through the customer feedback process as required.
      • Maintain and develop robust procedures that enable employees to deliver services relating to gas and water hygiene effectively and in compliance with landlord responsibilities and all relevant safety regulations and legislation.
      • Produce comprehensive monthly reporting on outcomes of ‘work in progress’ audits to show trends relating to performance and appliance faults and identify any areas of concern.
      • Keep abreast of developments in construction and surveying practice, including changes to standards and legislation, to ensure that the services provided conform to industry best practice and legislative requirements.

     

    What we’re looking for

      • Gas Safe registered with a minimum of: Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1), Domestic Wet Central Heating (CENWAT1), Domestic Cookers (CKR1).
      • Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
      • 5 years minimum recent experience working as a gas auditor undertaking onsite safety inspections and reporting.
      • Full knowledge of the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, and working knowledge of ACOP.L8.
      • Strong organisational skills in planning and organising diverse array of tasks and work effectively to deadlines. Also having experience of delivering training across a wide range of stakeholders and residents.
