    What you’ll do

We’re looking for an Employment Coach to join our employment services team where you’ll support our residents by working with them to assess their needs and develop bespoke support packages so they know how to access training, education and ultimately into employment. Our customers are at hearts in everything we do and we enjoy working with them to improve their life chances, encouraging them to take greater control of their finances during a significant cost of living crisis & support them to sustain their tenancies.

You’ll play a leading role in:

      • Triaging our customers & providing 1 to 1 bespoke support to facilitate achieving their end career goal.
      • Delivering our weekly Windsor Employment & Support Hub based in Sawyers Close.
      • Making a significant contribution to helping the Employment Services Team reach our target of supporting 300 customers into work this year.
      • Link with employers to provide customers with up-to-date vacancies & Labour Market Information.
      • Signposting customers to external and internal services.
      • Delivering a customer centred service, working closely with other Abri colleagues and partners to ensure each customer’s experience is as good as it can be.

Your work base will be in Windsor, but you will deliver the service in Windsor, Slough & Reading in a variety of locations and work in partnership with external organisations. However, there is an element of agile working, and the successful candidate must have the ability to attend support meetings in the Berkshire area as listed above. Enthusiasm, passion and drive are all key to the success of delivering this role.

    About us

We’re Abri, a housing association based in the south of England. One of the largest in fact. We’ve got 35,000 homes and 1,600 colleagues. And if all our 80,000 residents lived in the same place, we’d have a town roughly the size of Guildford.

We’re a passionate bunch. We think we can make a real difference. Homelessness, poverty, inequality, a lack of affordable housing. They’re all linked. They’re issues that affect so many, young and old alike. And we don’t think that’s right. We want to give people the chance to dream big and be who they want to be. Homes are at the heart of everybody’s lives. And we exist to help make good homes, and good lives a reality for everyone.

    About you

We’ve all got different backgrounds, strengths and experiences. But we share the same values. It’s these shared values that bring us together as one team.

Our colleagues embrace these every day. Be the difference to our customers and colleagues, always curious and look for better solutions, achieve together by working in partnership with others, own it openly through working with others in an open and honest way, and finally embrace possibility and see changes and challenges as welcomed opportunities.

If you share our values and want to make a real difference in the world, you’re on to a winner and we’d love to hear from you! In return, we will provide you with a work environment and culture that will enable you to thrive. Why wouldn’t you want to join the employment services team?
