    What you’ll be doing

      • Provide administrative support to the Income and Leasehold team to assist with maximising income.
      • Contact customers where their housing benefit has been suspended or cancelled, refer to Income Coordinators and Welfare Benefit Advisors to make suitable arrangements for payment or support customer to get benefits back into payment.
      • Use a variety of contact methods including telephone, letter, SMS, and email to gain customer engagement.
      • Manage and respond to DWP requests for information to verify Universal Credit claims via both paper requests and the UC portal.
      • Update and keep detailed computer records of all correspondence, actions taken and communication with customers.

     

    What we’re looking for

      • Evidence of attainment of good literacy and numeracy, eg, through GCSEs or equivalent (grade C and above).
      • Evidence of competence in administrative processes/procedures.
      • Excellent IT skills with experience of using MS office including Word and Excel.
      • Good track record in maintaining data/record systems and developing knowledge of further applications.
      • Ability to work pro-actively as part of a team to achieve objectives and manage conflicting priorities.

    The salary for this post will be £23,500 Per Annum pro rata (£15,243)
