This half-day virtual workshop will help you to ensure your organisation has effective measures in place to control the risk of the Covid-19 virus within the workplace.

In three 45 minute sessions delegates will be taken through the key stages of the risk assessment process and how it applies to Covid-19. It will explore the various control measures that can be employed to demonstrate adherence to government guidelines and best practice.

There will be particular emphasis on behavioural control measures and how they can be used effectively.

    The three sessions cover:

    Session 1 – the recommended process to follow when undertaking a risk assessment with particular emphasis on the hierarchy of control measures and the need to explore how controls may fail and how to prevent this from happening.

    Session 2 – the various measures that can be taken to ensure the two metre social distancing rule is maintained including both physical and behavioural measures.

    Session 3 – the health and hygiene measures that have been recommended focusing on maintaining effective hand hygiene and cleaning regimes including systems for dealing with those with symptoms and the vulnerable.

    Everyone with responsibility for health and safety/compliance in the workplace including health and safety experts, compliance managers, operational managers, team leaders and supervisors.

    Larry Ryder has been an independent health and safety consultant for a number of years, a Chartered Member of IOSH and with over 15 years working with the social housing sector, he has a wealth of knowledge.

    Over the years, he has developed health and safety strategies, policies, procedures, risk assessments and carried out audits of health and safety management systems and processes.

    Larry is an experienced trainer imparting his knowledge in a wide range of safety related subjects, designing and developing bespoke courses for organisations as well as delivering a range of IOSH Accredited courses.
