Building on the success of our annual Complying with the Rent Standard conference, we are delighted to announce our first rent compliance forum.

Bringing together housing professionals responsible for rent setting and rent compliance, the aim of the forum is to provide a safe place for those responsible for rent compliance to share their experiences with their peers – to ask questions, share lessons learned and discuss best practice.

The first virtual forum – chaired by Emma Turay, Assistant Director of Rents & Service Charges at Notting Hill Genesis – will give members an opportunity to discuss their organisation’s approach to the recent rent increase:

  • How affordability considerations were taken into account
  • How you engaged with residents about the increase.

At a time when residents are faced with additional financial burdens created by the cost-of-living crisis.

We’ll also review the Rent Compliance Framework, published by HQN and

Notting Hill Genesis last year. Copies of the framework are available to everyone joining the session.
