Following on from our session on the decent homes standard and stock condition surveys, this masterclass focuses on your Asset Management Strategy. It breaks it down into all its elements including data, financial planning, maintenance, sustainability, and resident engagement and input.

Mike Victory-Rowe, author of HQN’s asset management strategy toolkit, will chair the session and take delegates through the newly refreshed toolkit which has been designed to guide you through the process – to check and investigate the ‘what’ and ‘why’ of where you are now and explore where you want to be and draw up a SMART action plan of how you plan to get there.

    The session will give delegates:

    • An understanding of the importance of effective asset management in social housing and the key financial principles for sustainable social housing
    • The opportunity to explore maintenance strategies to prolong the life of assets and discuss sustainability initiatives for social housing
    • Ideas about ways of effectively engaging with residents to help establish resident priorities, helpful suggestions and a better understanding of the choices that have to be made.

A good quality asset management strategy is a key requirement for effective decision-making, informed risk management and good management of homes on behalf of your tenants.  It should help your organisation keep homes in good repair, reduce responsive repairs and complaints and prepare for future needs and demands.

This event will provide you with a clear set of plans for developing or improving your current asset management strategy based on good quality data and tenant feedback.

Mike will be joined by strong line up of speakers with expertise in finance, maintenance, sustainability, and community engagement.

Essential for everyone responsible for developing and implementing asset management strategies in their organisations.
