Unsure of what you can do, or how to do it? This introductory course into conflict management, and breakaway techniques training, will allay fears about breaking the law, and explain what the law says. Delegates will have the opportunity to explore real life situations and gain confidence.

    Module two

    Physical breakaway techniques, self-defence legislation, ECHR, Health and Safety Act and the Employment Act.

    This module addresses the legal implications surrounding self defence, human rights, health and safety legislation and also the employment act to assist in the development of organisational policies and procedures and to ensure compliance and personal responsibility.

    Physical breakaway techniques shows easily memorable ways to disengage from someone that takes hold of you without causing any harm.

    Who should attend?

    Everyone for whom personal safety and the potential use of physical breakaway techniques is an issue, including all lone workers, housing officers, maintenance teams, visiting officers, all frontline teams, site based estate management staff, together with team leaders and managers with staff responsibility.

  • Our trainer

    Chris Anderson is a highly experienced trainer with over 20 years’ policing experience, and an accredited expert in use of force issues. He specialises in personal safety awareness and is currently used to provide independent opinion by the Crown Prosecution Service, defence solicitors, coroners and Crown Court on the actions of police officers and members of the public. Chris is a member of the Institute for Conflict Management and licensed to provide personal safety awareness training.
