We are looking for a Tree Specialist (1 post) to join our Environmental Services team.
Reporting to the Arboriculture Manager, you will assist in the management of trees across the Onward geography, ensuring effective risk management, and maintenance.
The post holder will deal with enquiries including hazardous trees and undertake any other support function for the Arboriculture Manager, as directed. You will undertake surveys and deliver appropriate reports for tree works, as well as, produce preliminaries, bills of quantities and specifications for tree works as required.
You will utilise technology (e.g. GPS systems) to develop and maintain tree survey information and other information as required. You will assist the Arboriculture Manager in the delivery of tree management across the Onward geography for both Onward and external customers, ensuring all requirements, including legal and health & safety, are met and provide support to development work through appropriate inputs as required.
To be successful, it is essential you have knowledge and experience using GPS / GIS equipment and software effectively, as well as experience, excelling in a customer focused environment and the delivery of services for external customers. You should also have a degree in Arboriculture or Level 5 qualification equivalent.
All posts are recruited to the recruitment salary and movement to the confirmed salary is based on successful completion of a 6 month probation.
