Senior Nursery Workers x 2 (1 permanent, 1 fixed term)

We are seeking two Senior Nursery Workers / Room Supervisors to join our Family Centre Nursery based at Centre Place, Southend-on-Sea, working full time during term-time only.
One post is permanent; the other is a fixed term contract for six months to cover maternity leave.
The purpose of the role is to provide inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending and to maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment. You will be required to supervise a small team of Nursery Assistants and to take responsibility for the provision of care and appropriate learning opportunities for the children.
The successful candidates will have a sound understanding of child development and children’s needs, with an ability to plan and implement an early years age/stage appropriate curriculum, taking into account the SEN code of practice, safeguarding procedures and giving consideration to equality and diversity.
A full understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and significant, proven post-qualification experience working within a nursery setting are essential requirements.
