Job Description

We are looking to appoint a motivated person with significant, proven professional gardening experience to join our Grounds & Estates Maintenance Services (GEMS) team based in Southend-on-Sea.

This post is a six-month fixed term contract support to the team during its busiest season between April and October 2020.

Reporting to the GEMS senior supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance of shrub beds, grassed areas, trees and other outdoor areas on the Woodgrange Drive Estate; you may also be required to travel to other sites as needed.

You will work as part of the GEMS team and in addition to your main you will role provide additional support in various areas on the estate, including the caretaking and cleaning teams, where required.

We are looking for someone with good communication skills, a flexible approach and strong knowledge / skills in relation to gardening. The successful candidate will be proactive, with the ability to work as part of a team and carry out strenuous physical tasks on a daily basis.

A full clean UK driving licence is also desirable for this post.
