Rents Systems and Finance Officer (fixed term contract)

1 Year Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of going permanent.

You will form part of an operational team that provides a central support function to various teams in the Landlord Services and Housing Demand Division. These services are sat in the new ‘Place Directorate’.
Have systems knowledge and experience of at least a housing management system in addition to other related systems and be able to support users, innovative, troubleshoot issues and resolve them.
Be able to understand the workings of a Housing Management and financial system and procedures, including systems tenancy management procedures and legislation and its practical application.
Be able to understand and interpret complex financial and systems data.
Be able to understand and present IT system specifications or complex information clearly to a wide variety of audience.
Jointly lead on the calculation of the annual Direct Debit and annual standing orders as part of the Rent Setting project, ensuring the correctness of direct debit and standing order amounts and timely mailing to tenants within deadline.
Work as part of the team to deliver the annual estimates and actuals for leaseholders and general needs tenants.
Initiate and deliver projects that will generate income or deliver savings or reduce expenditure.
Accurately complete complex reconciliations within deadline and without errors, ensuring all variances are promptly investigated and fully resolved.
Project manage Lead on sub multiple Project work, continuous improvements, process efficiency and support.
Ealing currently has more than 11,000 retained housing units as well as nomination rights to registered provider accommodation across the borough. More Affordable Housing is a central plank of the Councils ‘Future Ealing’ agenda, Ealing’s major transformation programme.
This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
